THIS IS OUR CHURCH 20124 DNA'S of IFGF GISI are: 1. COMMISSION (the Great Commission)
IFGF GISI was started with a desire to fulfill the Great Commission. This was the seed of faith, that birthed a fellowship among Indonesian students in the USA back in 1980. This small group of students grew from one church to 3000 churches in 38 nations! And every IFGF GISI church has the same goal: to fulfill the Great Commission. Any church that is not seriously involved in helping fulfill the Great Commission has forfeited its biblical right to exist (Oswald J. Smith).
2. COMPASSION
Our mission statement is PEOPLE IS OUR MISSION. This means that no matter what we do, it is for the people we serve and those who are in ministry with us. Our focus is to reach all people especially those who are oppressed, poor, and lost. This is the reason we established our mission vehicle, the Indonesian Harvest Outreach (IHO) in 1989 that transformed into World Harvest in 2000. Through World Harvest and its affiliate organizations, we have labored to serve 50 needy communities, provide education for 7000 poor children, build schools for the poor, train leaders across the globe through the Harvest Festival, reach millions through family program in the radio and the U Channel (a television program) and many more. We are also committed to support the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals to end poverty by 2015.

East Africa Harvest Festival & Mission Trip 2012
East Africa is once again blessed by a series of revival services, Harvest Festivals, free medical clinics, and food distribution by the IFGF GISI team that is led by Ps. Daniel Hanafi (IFGF GISI LA) himself. This time, the mission is a joint effort by both IFGF GISI LA & IFGF GISI San Francisco. Altogether done by 6 people, the 2012 African Mission took place on 2 – 14 January 2012, and it was truly inspiring. Ps. Ndjoli Iyanga and his team accompanied them; and they visited 4 cities and 3 countries in the African continent, including the city of Adjumani in North Uganda, Nimule, and Juba in South Sudan, and then Wajir in Southeast Kenya near the border of Somalia.
In Adjumani, a Harvest Festival was held where up to 140 pastors, Christian leaders, and government officials came to attend. In the evening Revival Service, approximately 1700 people came to glorify and worship God’s name. There were many testimonies, such as 50 people receiving divine healing and more than 170 people giving their lives to Jesus. Besides the Revival Service and Harvest Festival, Ps. Ray Teguh and his team also visited the Adjumani hospital where they had a chance to share the Gospel and pray for the sick.
Foreword from the President February 2012
Rev. Budi Hidajat
God works and shares His love to the world through His people. Joyce Meyer in her book “the Love Revolution” pointed out that we can overcome evil with good. “Imagine what a mess the world would be if all God did was complain about everything that has gone wrong since He created it. But God doesn’t complain. He just continues to be good… He knows He can overcome evil with good! Evil is powerful for sure, but good is more powerful” (Joyce Meyer, the Love Revolution). What a powerful statement to reflect on this month as we celebrate Valentine’s Day with our loved ones. Doing good is definitely the most practical way of expressing God’s character, which is love. People today are desperate to know whether God exists or not, what their purpose is for being here, and why the world is so filled with evil if God does exist. I believe that if they can see love in action through practical ways, that will answer their questions.
21 Days Daniel Praying & Fasting: Day 21
Sunday, 22 January 2012
We have gone through last 20 days of prayer and fasting inviting God’s kingship upon our family, church, and work. To be victorious, we must keep our prayer life activated every day, both individually and corporately. It is very easy to be excited at certain moments, but it is not easy to keep the flame burning throughout the year.
Let us welcome a new era of God’s work in the church and in the marketplace with the hope and faith “that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
Bible Verses: - Philippians 3
Prayer Points: - Pray for strength and leadership in all of IFGF GISI churches worldwide throughout this year of 2012 - Pray for the fulfillment of God’s vision in IFGF GISI for 2012 21 Days Daniel Praying & Fasting: Day 20

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings”(1 Peter 5:8-9).
The devil is working hard because the day of the Lord is near. We, as God’s children, have to be vigilant and to rely on Holy Spirit for His guidance and protection. Let us pray hand in hand for unity, so that God’s compassion can be poured down upon His people and protect us from all harm.
Bible Verses: - Ephesian 6:10-20
Prayer Points: - Pray for God’s guidance upon the churches and His people - Pray for His protection on all churches around the world |
